James is an English actor and writer.

A lot of you will recognize him from his television roles as John Paul McQueen in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks (2006–2008, 2012–2017, 2019–present) and his former role as Ryan Lamb in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale amongst other things.

He is also the host of the great new podcast; male mind matters which are all candid conversations with remarkable men talking about mental health and authenticity to gratitude and physical well-being.

Here are some of the things we talked about in today’s podcast:

·      James emphasizes the importance of having candid conversations about mental health, especially among men.

·      The podcast 'Male Mind Matters' serves as a platform for men to share their struggles and journeys.

·      Vulnerability is a crucial aspect of mental health that many men find difficult to express.

·      Physical health plays a significant role in improving mental well-being and self-esteem.

·      James shares his personal journey of overcoming anxiety and panic attacks through fitness and self-care.

·      The loneliness that can accompany fame is often overlooked, despite the public adulation.

·      Fame should be a byproduct of talent and hard work, not the primary goal.

·      True happiness comes from self-honesty and pursuing what genuinely fulfills you.

·      Gratitude helps you appreciate the present moment.

·      Acting teaches you about emotions and human connections.

·      And much more.
