14 Days Of Fat Loss Free Guide
https://briankeanefitness.com/quick-links/

In this episode, Brian speaks with Isabella Robinson, a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr), certified Intuitive eating counsellor and qualified Nutritional Therapist (BANT, CNHC) with a special interest in disordered eating, food anxieties, body image and nutrition for mental health.

Listen as Isabella dives deep into managing disordered eating, the problem with diet culture, and handling food addiction.
Episode Outline
 Isabella’s journey as a nutritionist
A common misconception about sugar
 Where misconceptions come from
 Eliminating “diet mentality”
Helping a client who claims to have a certain food “addiction” (i.e. chocolate)
Isabella’s thoughts on intuitive eating and common myths around it
Confusing hunger with other emotions or physical sensations

Factors that lead to eating disorders
What Isabella is most excited about right now
Beware of headlines. The food industry profits off of misinformation and misconceptions
that many people today have around nutrition. It helps greatly to double-check certainly
modern beliefs about food: Are all calories created equal? Is a potato  just
sugar? If you have specific health or fitness goals, it’s best to consult with a nutritionist.
Beware of diet mentality. A lot of people may not be on a labelled diet, but they do
adopt the mindset of a dieter. It’s important to be aware of the psychology behind
certain beliefs or punishments that rule your interactions with food. For instance, having
“a little extra” because you ate a slice of cake and “ruined” the day is one of the biggest
sabotagers in one’s path to living a consistently healthier lifestyle. Having “addictions” to
certain foods like chocolate warrant a closer look as well: Perhaps you’re just placing
chocolate on a pedestal because you’ve put it on the “forbidden list”? The common
thread between all of these thoughts is a tendency to blame ourselves as helpless when
it comes to eating healthier, which does nothing more than lead us down a vicious cycle
of making the wrong choices and subsequently punishing ourselves for them.
The key to intuitive eating is aiming toward authentic well-being. This holistic approach
to food requires you to take what your body is communicating to you in real-time and
blend that with objective, scientific principles on nutrition, instead of simply looking for
a one-size-fits-all diet.

As someone who’s been following Gabby’s work for a long time, this episode was a particular
pleasure for me. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed recording it.
The questions from today’s podcast:
1.  I’ve just slightly touched on some of your accolades and your incredible books, but
Gabby, tell us a little bit about your backstory and what led you on your current path.
2.  I know your mission is to help people crack open to a spiritual relationship so that they
can live in alignment with their true purpose. Talk to me a little about your mission.
3.  In your new book Super Attractor, your call to action is asking people if they are ready to
take their spiritual practice to the next level and manifest love and joy as they’ve never
experienced before? Talk about how people can make a shift from occasional practising
to living a spiritual life every day.
4. One of the sections of the book that I connected with most was  how to release the
past and live without fear of the future, can you talk about how people can adopt this in
their own lives?
5.  I loved your recent blog post on How vulnerability gives you power, can you talk about
vulnerability and people's relationship to it?  27:35
6.  You had a great post on Instagram about How to make spirituality a habit and just to
recap, it was based on five steps.
7. What are you most excited about right now?

I'm keeping the trend of the unedited and raw Friday bonus podcast this week so hopefully it helps.

  1. Recovery is as important as your actual training
  2. You’re not 25 anymore so adjust expectations accordingly
  3. Supplements are more important now, but probably not the ones you think
  4. Strength training is a must now
  5. Sleep needs to be a priority
  6. Your hangovers will probably get worse

Charlie is an experienced broadcaster, journalist, writer and documentary maker across both TV, Radio and Podcasts.

She’s been on the covers of "Women's Running" and “FHM Magazine UK”, and has done 3 Ironman Triathlons and 14 Marathons including London and New York City.

Tragedy struck Charlie while doing a 3,000-mile race when she got Malaria, was put in a coma, and on life support. Doctors gave her less than 24 hours to live, which made global headlines. Doctors were baffled at her recovery and that she's still running marathons and is not going to stop!

Professionally, she has worked globally for major TV networks and studios and had in-depth interviews with global superstars such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and David Beckham.

Charlie has recently released ‘Surviving El Chapo: The Twins Who Brought Down a Drug Lord’ working with Lionsgate and G-Unit productions. She developed the story, wrote, produced, as well as co-hosted the podcast with Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson.

She is also the host of her own podcast Died and Survived with Charlie Webster.

Here are some of the things we talked about in today’s episode:

·      Her 3,000-mile race, malaria, being put into a coma and on life support.

·      And much more.

I dislocated my knee two weeks and torn the MCL..

Fortunately, or unfortunately (depending on your perspective), this isn’t my first injury..

I know the rehabilitation process at this stage and anyone who has ever got injured knows the same..

But that wasn’t the part I struggled with the most..

It was the mental side of injury or having to supportive mindset that could help me recover..

Often, especially in my late teens/early twenties I would get full blown circumstantial depression from being injured..

Thankfully I’ve worked on my mindset a lot over the years and know reframe injuries as opportunities.

Today's podcast is the four ways that I do that.

Kirsten is a UK registered dietitian specializing in irritable bowel syndrome.

She is a fully trained low FODMAP dietitian and has incorporated this diet into her Take Control method for optimal results.

Before becoming a low FODMAP dietitian, Kirsten suffered with IBS herself.

After realizing that the low FODMAP diet was only part of the answer, she developed the Take Control method which incorporates a more holistic approach to support IBS sufferers.

As someone who has been an IBS sufferer (although I manage it now) – I needed this podcast so badly several years ago so please share it with anyone you know who may benefit from listening.

Here are some of the things we talked about in today’s show:

·      The problem with low FODMAP diets and what its missing

·      The supplements that may help (and the questions to ask before you start them)

·      Biggest food triggers (and why they may not be the ones you think)

·      The link between stress, sleep and IBS

·      The mixed opinion topics – coffee, caffeine and fasting with IBS
